Dr Maryam Izadi is a highly experienced orthodontist and passionate about creating beautiful smiles.
She carried out her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the prestigious Guy’s Hospital, King’s College London and her consultant training at the Royal London Hospital.
She has been a dentist for 20 years. She gained her specialist orthodontic qualifications in 2009 and has been practicing as Consultant Orthodontist for the last 11 years.
She stand out in her field not only by her impressive training and vast experience but also in the way she always tailors treatments to the individual resulting in complete satisfaction. She is known to have treated the most clinically complex and aesthetically challenging cases throughout her career, with an approach that even the most nervous patients have found soothing and accommodating.
She works in Northwick Park Hospital as a Consultant Orthodontist and at Brent Dental Specialists as a Specialist Practitioner. She is a specialist in using fixed appliances, including clear ceramic braces and removable aligners, such as Invisalign systems

Farnaz qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital in 2014. Following this she undertook various hospital training posts in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Northwick Park, Paediatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. During which Farnaz successfully obtained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Farnaz commenced her specialty training in Orthodontics in 2017 at the Eastman Dental Hospital. During which she achieved a distinction in her Masters in Clinical Dentistry at University College London (UCL) and successfully passed the Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons England. She was awarded the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital clinical excellence prize in 2020. Following this, Farnaz undertook her consultant training at Northwick Park and Royal London hospitals, where she gained experience treating complex cases who require multi-disciplinary management. She successfully passed the Fellowship in Orthodontics examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons England and works part-time as an Orthodontic Consultant in the NHS.
Farnaz is committed to providing excellent orthodontic care and is experienced in a range of Orthodontic treatments. She has a friendly manner and strives to ensure she provides patients a patient centered approach to their care.
In her spare time Farnaz enjoys swimming, travelling the world and experiencing different cuisines.

Great news! NHS England and the Government have advised us that we are able to commence opening from 8th June.
However, we can only do this if we have access to the correct PPE (personal protective equipment) and have the right operating procedures in place to minimise risk to both patients and staff.
We have been advised to carry out URGENT treatment only, so if you have a routine appointment, removal of metal fixed braces or treatment that requires any use of a drill, we will not be able to see you yet. However, please do not worry, we have a record of each and every patient and appointment that was cancelled and as soon as we have the green light from NHS England, we will start to schedule you in.
Your safety is our primary concern – we are working extremely hard to secure the proper PPE and get all the safeguarding measures in place to make the return to work safe and compliant.
This means that we will have to schedule patients in according to availability of PPE, their health and treatment status. This again will be done to manage any potential risk and minimise spread of the virus.
Please bear in mind, the appointment system will be different. We won’t be able to see as many patients as we would like (to allow sufficient time for infection control procedures and distancing between patients) and you might need to make some adjustments about when and how you attend the surgery. We will update you once we have all this information.
With that in mind we are planning towards opening at the earliest possible time, but we do not currently have a date. We want to emphasise that we will only open when we have all the correct safety systems in place. Please bear with us if due to PPE backlog or other issues we need some more time before we can re-open fully.
We would like to reassure our patients and say that all appointments will be rescheduled and that a member of our team will contact you directly over the telephone to arrange this.

In light of the escalating Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have received government communications advising us to close our doors for face-to-face consultations until further notice. This measure is to help safeguard the public and prevent the spread of Covid-19.
As a result, we have been forced to cancel ALL appointments. We will be in touch directly to arrange a new appointment, but please bear with us, as our staff have been inundated with queries.
If you have an orthodontic emergency, please contact us by phone on 0203 815 5142 as we are still operating a ‘Phone Advice Service’ and will help you through the next steps. You can also contact us via email or via our website.

1.Brace: If your bracket/ brace/ wire is loose – please use wax where you can and call the practice for more information.
2.Retainers: If your retainers are broken, please contact us as soon as possible as we may be able to get these made and sent directly to you in the post or provide instructions on what to do.
3.Elastics: We would advise you to continue wearing these until run out, but we will not be providing any further elastics during this time
4.Treatment delay: We know many of you will be concerned about delays to treatment but we will not be able to see anyone until we are advised to reopen. However, if we are able to open sooner we will of course move appointments forward.

Your care and comfort are our priority and we will provide as much guidance and support as possible to avoid the need for you to visit Urgent Dental Care Centres which have been set up across London to assist patients who are in desperate need of emergency treatment.
If you have a routine appointment, we will be rescheduling this if it has not already been done.
If you are looking to make a new appointment for example, a new consultation appointment, please contact us directly (phone/ email/ website) and we can get this arranged and booked in the diary for June, which is when we are hoping to open.
We have not taken this decision lightly, as we are aware it is an enormously uncertain time for everybody and an unprecedented time for all of healthcare.

Roopa qualified in Dentistry from the University of Manchester and was awarded the Edgar Houghton Prize for excellence in operative dentistry. She later undertook her specialist orthodontic training at the Royal London Hospital where she undertook her Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics. She was awarded an Honorary Lectureship at the Royal College of Surgeons, England and is now an Examiner for the MJDF Royal College Examinations. Roopa sits on the board of the Federation, is a member of the Local Dental Committee and the North West Liaison Group. Roopa has authored scientific papers and has presented lectures at National and International specialist conferences. She is also a mentor to specialist orthodontists and orthodontic therapists. Roopa has had vast experience in treating a range of cases including the latest clear braces such as lingual braces and Invisalign. Roopa has a keen interest in supporting the community and actively supports children education via charitable projects both here and abroad.
